I updated the graphic drivers to the latest ones and that helped to gain a few fps but it is still below expectations. I can still play it in window mode with smaller res but I prefer fullscreen mode like most of you. I don't want to reduce the resolution since my LCD matrix is 1280x1024 and other res would prescale the screen pixels. Antialiasing is always off and not even possible to enable. Shadows and and antialiasing add a lot quality to this game and I'd like to have them turned on. I read some positive reviews on the graphic capabilities and hoped that I would save some money on separate graphic card but it looks I will have to buy a better one if more tweaking is not possible. I'm looking for any hints on how to tweak that HD 3000 to make it more efficient for PoE. It is not enough for comfortable playing and my eyes getting tired with not smooth scrolling. The frame rate is around 20 - 25 fps and it drops when the screen is filled with more action. The game is playable with resolution 1280x1024 however I had to disable shadow and post processing options. I just bought a new computer with Intel Core i3 and integrated HD 3000 graphic in it. That's with every detail on low, in the smallest resolution possible, in a single player game. I got D3 for free and even for free, at like 5 frames a second it's just not worth playing. You'll have to do the same config file tweaks with the Intel 3000 but you'll be able to see the extremely low frame rate it runs at. If you're really unsure about the $10, GGG does Open Beta weekends on and off again, and when it goes to regular Open Beta status plus Release, it'll be Free to Play so you could always wait and see how it runs for you then.Īnd if you want to try Diablo 3, you can ask around online (or a friend maybe) for a guest pass key which let's you play the "Starter Edition", the first 11 levels in Act 1 up to the Skeleton King.

Not many people really optimize their games for low end graphics cards, or laptops, outside of Runic Games whom make Torchlight. It won't be the bees knees but it'll be far more playable than Diablo 3 would be for you. With low settings, and a small resolution PoE should run at a playable frame rate.
